Mardi Gras in DFW
Arlington, Texas may not be close to New Orleans, but you can still celebrate Mardi Gras here in style. Experience New Orleans first hand and stop by Pierre’s Mardi Gras cafe on South Cooper.
The owners catered events in New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina, and relocated to the DFW area. This restaurant offers authentic cajun food, live music and is the perfect place for a Mardi Gras meal.
If you want to celebrate Mardi Gras in a big way, head to the Mardi Gras Texas Style event, hosted by 99.5 the Wolf. This event will bring in concerts by Eli Young Band, Reckless Kelly, Bart Crow and more on Saturday, February 18 in Fair Park. Purchase tickets in advance online for a discount.
And for a finale, the Mardi Gras Oak Cliff parade and crawfish boil will be Sunday, February 19 in the Bishop Arts District. Set up a chair on Davis street to watch the costumes, cars and even catch some beads.
